Guate, Guate, Guatemala! There are few places left in the world where traditional dress is so embraced and lucidly celebrated. On our most recent visit, we were able to partner and re-partner with a number of different families, craftsman, and weaving communities. Many of the bags and textiles we brought back with us are skilfully made from hand-woven "Huipil's", or Mayan blouses. Women still use the backstrap weaving techniques and floral motifs that derive from their ancestors.
